Los Angeles International Film Festival

The Los Angeles International Film Festival is launching in 2020 and it will be a hotspot for showcasing innovative cinema and new trends in indie filmmaking. This year’s LAIFF looks forward to screening a broad range of genres by international directors, and bringing the best of fresh filmmaking to film-loving LA audiences.

The Los Angeles International Film Festival discovers, supports and develops new talent in filmmaking, providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers from around the world. Recognizing the important role independent films have in the history of filmmaking, storytelling, and culture, LAIFF wants to help empower the next generation of artists. The Los Angeles International Film Festival is an annual event showcasing independent films with an edge.

LAIFF will run November 4-8 2020, at the Edgemar Center an arts cinema on the beach in Santa Monica.

Entry Fees

Fees for feature films are $75 early, $80 regular, $85 late.
Fees for short films are $45 early, $50 regular, $55 late.
Music videos & short shorts are $30 early, $35 regular, $40 late

Fees for feature scripts are $45 early, $50 regular, $55 late.

All submissions must be received electronically, we do not accept DVD’s in the post.

EXHIBITION & SCREENING
Screenings are scheduled during the Festival at the discretion of the Festival. Whilst every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, LAIFF reserves the right to make changes at any time for any reason. If chosen as an official selection, LAIFF is granted the permission to exhibit the film at the Los Angeles International Film Festival. Location and timing of any screenings of the film shall be the sole decision of the organizers of LAIFF. Filmmakers will be solely responsible for all costs resulting from the submission of the film to the Festival.

The 2020 LAIFF official selection will be announced on October 5, 2020. The official selection films will be screened on Nov 4-8 at the Egdgemar Center in Santa Monica.
